Champneys is the brand name of a destination spa group, comprising four spa resorts, two hotels and two day spas owned by the purdew family. champneys spas situated in four key locations – henlow (bedfordshire), forest mere (hampshire), springs (leicestershire) and tring (hertfordshire) – each resort stands as a place to invigorate the senses. We also have two hotels with champneys spas at eastwell (kent) and mottram hall (cheshire).

What is Champneys about?

A century ago, Champneys paved the way as the UK’s first health spa. Our history-rich countryside spas are where renewing treatments, expert care, and timeless tranquillity come together to create the iconic Champneys experience. Founded in 1925, we’ve been at the forefront of wellness since our inception, when we emerged as one of the first health resorts in the world. Stanley Lief founded Champneys in Tring which started life as a Nature Cure Resort and was the first of its kind in the UK.
