Since then, every single Champneys product is tried and tested by their 400 therapists. A century ago, Champneys paved the way as the UK’s first health spa. Is Champneys a chain?
Champneys is the brand name of a destination spa group, comprising four spa resorts, two hotels and six day spas owned by the Purdew family. The first spa in the group was Henlow Grange. Champneys Spas Situated in four key locations – Henlow (Bedfordshire), Forest Mere (Hampshire), Springs (Leicestershire) and Tring (Hertfordshire) – each resort stands as a place to invigorate the senses. We also have two hotels with Champneys Spas at Eastwell (Kent) and Mottram Hall (Cheshire).In September 2018 the hotel was sold by the real estate investment company Aprirose to the hotel group Champneys (owned by Dorothy and Stephen Purdew).The UK’s leading spa resort group Champneys announced on 1st October 2018 its purchase of Mottram Hall.The business group Champneys is the brand name of a destination spa group, comprising four spa resorts, two hotels and six day spas owned by the Purdew family.
