Rooted in the belief that natural ingredients enhance well-being, cowshed’s co-founders, nick jones and richard wood, created a brand known for its luxurious products and holistic approach. Soho house founder nick jones created the original cowshed spa at babington house as a retreat within a retreat, extending the hospitality of the house into wellness and wellbeing for guests.Since opening our first spa in the old cowshed at Babington House in 1998, our ambition has been to create spas and products that are always honest, natural and true to our British heritage.

Cowshed started with a simple mission: to inject a little country calm into people’s busy lives. The very first Cowshed spa opened alongside Babington House in Somerset in 1998. The brand’s story started in the Walled Garden, which is where the ingredients of its essential oil blends were grown.
