Under new ownership – International Hoteliers, Grand Hotel Excelsior, are restoring it to its former glory throughout, reinstating it as a revered wedding venue once more, with excellent facilities for all styles & sizes of weddings, celebrations, and events. The hotel fell into administration in 2020 and was bought by international hoteliers, Grand Hotel Excelsior International Ltd.
What is the history of the Grange Lodge Hotel?
It is thought that Grange Lodge Hotel was built as a private house, in about 1815, using the profits made from privateering. The house stayed in the same hands until it was purchased by the Mansell family in the 1920’s. Botleigh Grange Hotel has a rich history dating back to the 17th century! Originally built as a private country house, the property has witnessed many important moments in time.
