Established in 1981, Air Prishtina is a virtual carrier headquartered at Zurich. The airline provides regular scheduled services between Kosovo and Macedonia. Prishtina International Airport Adem Jashari was privatized in May 2010, and taken over by Limak Kosovo International Airport J. S. C with a 20-year contract under the model of Build-Operate-Transfer.
