What is the Vitality travel discount?
With vitality travel, you can get personalised flight discounts of 10% to 75% off international flight bookings (both the base fare and yq tax) with airlink, british airways, cemair, emirates, flysafair, qantas and south african airways, and united airlines (excluding codeshare). You can use your personalised vitality discount on six one way (or three return) local or regional flights and two international flight bookings per calendar year. Thereafter, you will receive a flat rate of 10% off for the rest of the calendar year flights you book.
What does Vitality status give you?
And, to keep you motivated, your healthy activity and Vitality status unlocks rewards including handcrafted drinks or smoothies, cinema tickets if eligible, and discounts on hotel stays. You can earn a maximum of 8 Vitality activity points per day and up to 40 Vitality activity points per week. We’ll award points for only one exercise activity per day using an activity tracker, so if you do more than one activity in a day, you’ll only receive points for the one that earns the most points.Members who complete healthy activities, such as going to the gym, taking a walk or watching a nutrition webinar, are awarded Vitality Points. The more points you earn, the higher your Vitality Status and the greater your rewards.At the start of every year, your Vitality points reset to zero but you still keep the rewards and status level that you earned the previous year. This is to help encourage you to keep healthy every year.The main issue with Vitality rewards is that as appealing as they sound, they’re not going to be a great option for everyone. You may think in theory that you will earn enough points to make the rewards worth it, but if you aren’t active enough (for whatever reason) you could find yourself losing out.In 2025, we are standardising the rewards structure across all benefits. Your Vitality Active Gear, HealthyBaby, HealthyCare and HealthyDining rewards will increase from 10% to 25% when you complete both a Vitality Age assessment and Vitality Health Check.
