What is the difference between a day spa and a normal spa?
Pampering is the primary goal of day spas, including here at Unique Day Spa. Traditional spas usually sit within a hotel or larger spa complex which offers overnight stays as part of the package and med spas are primarily used for the health of the body, such as the skin. Once your treatments are complete, you can spend the rest of your spa day using the health and fitness facilities included as part of your package. You can have a dip in the pool, detox in the sauna, unwind in the relaxation room, or get your heart pumping in the gym* – it’s completely up to you.A spa bath is a spa treatment that usually takes place in a private treatment room, and will be just for you, or for you and your partner.Depending on the facility, you can expect to enjoy services like massage, facials, hydrotherapy, and other restorative body treatments. There may be a steam room, sauna, or pool that are also available for use during your visit. Day spas are geared toward comfort, and every need will be addressed while you are there.These are private rooms in which you can enjoy a selection of pampering spa treatments, such as massages and facials. Many of our spa packages feature treatments, which will take place in one of these rooms.Nobody else will ever be using any area of the spa during your spa time. All areas of the spa including the spa garden are completely private for you and not overlooked. This includes the changing area, swimming pool, thermal spa area, spa garden, relaxation lounge and chillout lounge with refreshment area.
How many hours is a spa day?
These have a morning, afternoon or evening arrival time. They usually offer around three or four hours of spa access, and may include afternoon tea or a light lunch. evening spa days are often called “twilight” spa packages and are a great way to enjoy some after-hours pampering. Our twilight package includes two hours to use the spa facilities, plus a sharing platter and drink in our café in the evening. Subject to availability the entry times are from 3 pm – 6 pm, monday-friday. Our twilight packages are booked over the phone by calling 01225 33 1234.The Twilight Spa package includes use of the pool, sauna, steam room and the hot tub from 5pm to 9pm plus a one hour spa treatment of your choice.
