It was a fusion of the street name South Molton Street, and the so-cool boutique Browns, owned by the original founder Caroline Burstein’s parents, and which was just along this very fashionable street… Products were literally made on the kitchen table, originally, in a 16th Century cottage in Hertfordshire.
