What is included in the Caesars Palace resort fee?
There is a per night resort fee package which includes access for two each day to the Fitness Center at the property, in-room daily Internet access for two devices, and all local phone calls. The resort fee is incurred by all guests visiting our property whether the amenities are used or not. Resort fees, also called destination or urban fees, are charges for amenities. Researching the resort in advance can help you avoid these charges, as well as using free sites that check for resort fees. Booking with points at certain properties or reaching certain elite statuses can help you avoid paying resort fees.
Can you legally refuse to pay resort fees in Vegas?
No. You do not legally have to pay any hotel resort fee. Resort fees are in violation of Nevada’s Deceptive Trade Practices Law. Fifty Attorneys General are currently investigating hotel resort fees for being deceptive and misleading. Sometimes asking an employee to waive your fee may do the trick. You cannot simply refuse to pay resort fees, but — just as some hotel employees are occasionally empowered to compensate you — the employee might have authority to remove your resort fee. Just understand that this is the exception, not the norm.
