Champneys Tring in the rolling Hertfordshire hills has been pioneering and perfecting health and wellbeing treatments since 1925. Close enough to London to be reachable, but far enough away to be peaceful, it’s full of modern and traditional treatments, as well as the unique Marine and Wellness Spa. The Champneys story started in 1925; born from the ideals of the visionary naturopath Stanley Lief. We initially opened as a health farm (now Champneys Tring) and were the first of our kind in the UK.Founded on the philosophy that health, beauty and wellbeing are inextricably intertwined, Champneys has been a leader of the destination spa scene not only in the UK but across the world for more than 90 years.Champneys is the brand name of a destination spa group, comprising four spa resorts, two hotels and two day spas owned by the Purdew family. Named after the spa in Tring, Hertfordshire, which opened in 1925, the first spa in the group was in fact Henlow Grange, followed by Forest Mere and Springs.
