Pet friendly are hotels which offer a range of amenities designed to accommodate pet owners. In these hotels pet owners get gourmet room service menus for their pets. Yes, dogs are welcome in selected public areas of the hotel, including the swan inn and some of the relaxed lounge areas, making the swan one of the most luxury dog friendly hotels in the lake district for social pups and their humans.
Can you leave dogs in dog friendly hotels?
Most hotels request that you don’t leave your dog alone in your hotel room. Some offer dog-sitting services for a fee. If you brought a crate, the hotel might find that an acceptable alternative. You might even get away with leaving your dog in your room so long as they’re well-behaved or quiet (how would they know? A general rule is to not leave dogs who have destructive or barking tendencies alone in a hotel room. But depending on the temperament of your dog and the hotel rules, you may be able to leave your dog unattended in your room without issues.
Can I leave my dog unattended in a hotel room?
Most hotels don’t want animals to be in there unattended. Some will allow it if they’re crated but if yours are yappy, you might very well get asked to leave as soon as you return from eating. I would recommend a pet friendly AirBNB as an alterative or taking them out with you as I did with mine. Guests arriving with pets will be refused access to the hotel and apartments as we do not offer any friendly accommodation.
