What do I wear under my robe at a spa?
In general, you should wear swimwear or underwear underneath a robe. You may well spend much of your day switching between the swimming pool, jacuzzi or steam room, so it makes sense to have your swimwear already on. Swimwear & Clothing Towel and robe are included in the cost of a Thermae Welcome, treatment, and Spa Package. Swimwear should be worn in all public areas. We do not provide footwear and advise that you bring your own for use around the Spa. Please note that we also have slippers for sale.
Do you wear anything under your robe in a spa?
You may wear your robe and slippers to your spa service. Disrobe to the level of your comfort. Undergarments are not necessary, but you may wear them during your treatment if you prefer. Our therapists are trained to drape your body in a discreet manner, assuring your privacy at all times. For massages and body treatments, ideally you disrobe completely (that means underwear, too). Most spas offer paper panties to wear during body treatments (like scrubs, wraps, or self-tanning)—they don’t cover much, but enough to provide a modicum of modesty.What to wear during a massage or body treatment? For massages and certain treatments, we suggest you undress completely. This improves the fluidity of movements and facilitates the application of products. However, you can keep your underwear on if you prefer.
What to wear to a luxury spa?
The first thing to note is that spas want their guests to be as comfortable as possible, so non-restrictive garments (such as yoga bottoms, lounge pants, T-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies) are encouraged at most resorts. At the vast majority of UK spa resorts, nudity is forbidden outside the privacy of guests’ hotel rooms. Visitors are expected to cover up using a robe/dressing gown between treatments and when in the spa’s public areas and must wear swimwear while enjoying the venue’s Jacuzzi and steam room facilities.What are the WORLD SPA Rules and Policies?
