What can men wear in a sauna?
sauna wear for men: loose shorts or a bathing suit are ideal. Going shirtless is encouraged for maximum skin exposure. sauna wear for women: a sports bra and loose shorts, or a swimsuit, work well. Comfort and optimal skin exposure are key. Sauna and steam room etiquette make sure to sit on your towel. It’s more hygienic than with your bare bottom on the wood or tile. Shower before you come in – shower off after your workout prior to entering the sauna or steam room. You’ll feel more comfortable and your fellow members will appreciate a clean environment.
Why not shower after sauna?
With infrared saunas, we don’t recommend showering immediately after your session because your body is still detoxing for up to 45 minutes after you are still pulling out those toxins and those heavy metals through sweat even if you don’t feel like it. Steam/Sauna Guidelines Long exposure may result in nausea, dizziness, and/or fainting. Please limit time to 15 minutes. Swimwear or comparable clothing is required. Do not pour water on sauna rocks.
