From the moment we boarded until we disembarked the service was excellent and the fully inclusive meals in the dining car were very good. Highly recommended. If you are considering a trip on The California Zephyr, go! It is a great trip as long as you are realistic with your expectations. On the Zephyr going East, a total of seven meals are served: Day One: Lunch & Dinner. Day Two: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
