Is Spa Lei women only?
Spa Lei is a women-only traditional Eastern European-style Hungarian sauna. Spa Lei is open year round, 24 hours a day. Seawater from Korea’s West Sea is delivered to the spa and used to heat the facility’s special seawater bath. A Korean spa is a relaxing oasis that allows guests to enjoy several treatments and amenities at their own pace. These spas typically offer both wet and dry saunas, body scrub massages, skin treatments, and other rejuvenating experiences.
Do you wear clothes in a Korean spa?
In your specific gender level, additional towels, bathrobes, and shorts are provided. You will then store your belongings in your locker and change into the shirt and shorts provided. A Korean spa is not for the modest. To enter the spa and sauna on gender segregated floors, we ask that no clothing be worn. Visiting a Korean spa, or jimjilbang, is a cultural experience focused on relaxation, socialization, and wellness. In the gender-segregated bathhouses, nudity is standard, and guests often walk around the locker rooms freely with little concern for modesty.Korean spas are commonly known as Jjimijilbang. Traditionally, these spacious public bathhouses are segregated by gender with a communal unisex area.Jimjilbangs are also usually pretty cheap, ranging from around $10-$15 on average for the entrance fee. My first Korean spa experience was a bit overwhelming, mostly due to the fact that I was unfamiliar with many of the cultural norms surrounding the event until later on.
