Women are usually required to wear a dress, or long pants with a blouse whilst the men must wear long pants or shorts with a collarless shirt, polo shirt, or collared shirt. For both, some sort of nice looking shoes or sandals is also needed. T-shirts, sleeveless shirts, shorts, are not typically acceptable. Women can choose a casual dress or pair a blouse with a nice pair of jeans, slacks, or a skirt. For shoes, both men and women can choose from elegant sandals or close-toed shoes and avoid wearing flip flops.

Are secret resorts clothing optional?

Secrets resorts are not clothing-optional resorts. I usually recommend wearing a t-shirt and yoga pants/sweatpants/shorts. It’s common to be barefoot during the session, but if you prefer socks, you’re free to leave socks on, or I have some for you to borrow if your feet get cold. And always feel free to ask for a blanket!Resort Casual You can comfortably wear swimsuit coverups, jeans, capris, and shorts with a t-shirt or polo. Tennis shoes, sneakers, and sandals, are all acceptable as well. You can even wear flip flops with this relaxed dress code!

What do you wear to a resort spa?

For the SPA salon, it’s worth bringing clothes that are flexible, do not restrict movement, are made of natural materials (cotton, linen, muslin) and can be easily put on over skin that will be moist or smeared with oils or balms. Most spas want you to be comfortable and relaxed, so arrive wearing loose, comfortable clothing like gym clothes, yoga pants and t-shirts. Once you are changed, you’ll be spending most of your time in a robe anyway!For massages and body treatments, ideally you disrobe completely (that means underwear, too). Most spas offer paper panties to wear during body treatments (like scrubs, wraps, or self-tanning)—they don’t cover much, but enough to provide a modicum of modesty.Depending on the length of your massage the therapist may request you remove your clothes (if you are having a short 20-minute session focusing on the neck and shoulders, this will not be necessary). For an Oriental massage, it is beneficial to remove clothes down to your underwear.
