From the moment I arrived at Champneys Health Spa, I felt a sense of calm and care. The peaceful surroundings, clean facilities, and friendly staff create the ideal environment for rest and rejuvenation. One standout part of my experience was the amazing service from the Guest Relations team, especially Tilly. Upon your arrival, you’ll be greeted with a fluffy robe to wear during your visit and Champneys flip flops to keep, which means you’ll have all the footwear you need for your time between spa treatments. Obviously for dinner, feel free to dress up and pop on a pair of heels if the mood takes you.

Which is the original champney?
The Champneys story started in 1925; born from the ideals of the visionary naturopath Stanley Lief. We initially opened as a health farm (now Champneys Tring) and were the first of our kind in the UK. Champneys Spas Situated in four key locations – Henlow (Bedfordshire), Forest Mere (Hampshire), Springs (Leicestershire) and Tring (Hertfordshire) – each resort stands as a place to invigorate the senses.Founded in 1925, we’ve been at the forefront of wellness since our inception, when we emerged as one of the first health resorts in the world. Stanley Lief founded Champneys in Tring which started life as a Nature Cure Resort and was the first of its kind in the UK.Champneys is the brand name of a destination spa group, comprising four spa resorts, two hotels and two day spas owned by the Purdew family. Named after the spa in Tring, Hertfordshire, which opened in 1925, the first spa in the group was in fact Henlow Grange, followed by Forest Mere near Liphook and Springs.
