How old is Sopwell House?
This historic, Georgian-style hotel dates back over 300 years, as the earliest known record of the location is a deed from 1603. Guests can visit the wealth of remarkable attractions that call the country home from the Sopwell House. As part of the Verulam estate, Sopwell House was used by members of the family until the end of the Second World War when it became a home for the aged before its conversion in 1969 to a hotel.
