What do you wear to Shangri-La?
Clothing: From 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, jackets, sweaters and long trousers are proper dress. From 6 pm to 10 am the next day, always wear down jackets or cotton-padded coats to keep warm. Bring rain gear or a raincoat in the rainy season. Things to do: there are no flowers in the mountains for Shangri-La’s winter. In Shangri-La, it is common to stay for 2–3 nights. If your trip focuses mainly on the city and its surroundings, staying in the city center area is ideal.
