Gleneagles was purchased from Diageo. The purchase was led by Sharan Pasricha, Founder of Ennismore, a London-based owner and developer of unique hospitality properties and experiences. The Gleneagles Arena, a new 2,500 sq m events space and tennis centre, was officially opened. Ennismore, which was founded in 2011, owns Gleneagles, which it bought in 2015 from Diageo. It also has 10 Hoxton hotels and other properties in its portfolio in Barcelona, Brussels, Edinburgh and London.The hotel remained owned by Diageo, until it was sold to a private investment company Ennismore in 2015.

Gleneagles has been a hotel firmly on my list of places to visit for years and after I attended the World’s 50 Best Hotel awards and saw Gleneagles ranked 41st best in the world, my desire to go there was confirmed.
