The higher the carat, the higher the pure gold content. Our gold jewellery is sold in 9ct, 14ct, and 18ct. For example, 18ct gold jewellery is made of 75% gold and 25% other metals such as copper or silver, so 18ct gold is of higher value than 9ct or 14ct gold jewellery. The 750 stamp on the inside of any ring usually indicates 750 parts of pure Gold, per 1000 parts. In other words, the item is 75% pure Gold. This purity is more commonly referred to as 18-carat gold.
