Dogs are warmly welcome at Beaverbrook and may be accommodated with their owners in specially appointed bedrooms. They must be kept on a lead when walking around the estate and we ask you to pick-up your dog’s poo. We warmly welcome well-behaved dogs here at Beaverbrook, whether you’re stopping by for refreshments and a stroll around the estate, or spending the night with us. Some 13 years later, in 1879, the man who would later be known as Lord Beaverbrook, Max Aitken, was born in Ontario, Canada. Set in the Surrey Hills, Beaverbrook is a gorgeous quintessential English country house adored by celebrities including Joe Wicks and his family. The property was later purchased and renovated by Longshot Cherkley Court Ltd which redeveloped the estate and added a golf course that opened in 2016. The course was designed by renowned architect, Bobby Weed, who has designed some of the world’s most famous golf courses. The clubhouse was designed by Nichols Architects of Coral gables, FL. Moreover, it cost the legend a whopping $15-20 million to build, according to Front Office Sports.Membership reportedly costs more than £100,000 a year. The golf course, which was designed by American golfing legend Tom Watson, is in the grounds of Cherkley Court – a late Victorian neo-classical Grade II- listed mansion surrounded by 370 acres of land.
