Who owns Cowshed?
Soho House founder Nick Jones created the original Cowshed spa at Babington House as a retreat within a retreat, extending the hospitality of the House into wellness and wellbeing for guests. Since opening our first spa in the old cowshed at Babington House in 1998, our ambition has been to create spas and products that are always honest, natural and true to our British heritage.
Is Cowshed a UK brand?
Cowshed’s name wasn’t chosen simply to embody the quirky, uniquely British charm of the brand. What makes Cowshed so special? All of our bath and beauty products are made in England with ingredients that are fairly-traded using only the purest essential oils.Cowshed started with a simple mission: to inject a little country calm into people’s busy lives. The very first Cowshed spa opened alongside Babington House in Somerset in 1998. The brand’s story started in the Walled Garden, which is where the ingredients of its essential oil blends were grown.
Is Cowshed natural?
Ingredients. Cowshed has evolved into a holistic range of products and treatments, all bound together through our continued use of natural botanicals from sustainable sources containing the highest quality essential oils. With the exception of organic beeswax and wildflower honey there are no animal ingredients in Cowshed products. Cowshed products are never tested on animals.Cowshed products are paraben free as they are formulated to be gentle on the skin whilst releasing the aroma therapeutic properties of essential oils.
What is the Battle of Cowshed?
The pigs start to order the other animals around and take more food than they should. The animals bravely fight off a human attempt to retake the farm, this becomes known as ‘The Battle of the Cowshed’. A cowshed is a building where cows are kept or milked.
