How long should you sit in a spa?
How long you sit/lay in a spa depends on several factors, including your health, tolerance and personal preference. As a general rule of thumb, we recommend taking a bath for 30-60 minutes. Before going into your spa, we recommend that you talk to your health care practitioner if you suffer from a medical condition. Our recommendation: Step one: Hot – 5 to 10 minutes in a hot bath. Step two: Cold – A walk around the spa or, if you want to challenge yourself, head to a cold plunge pool and walk in up to your knees or further for 10 seconds. Step three: Relax – Head to our bistro for a tea and a chat break for 20 minutes.

What happens at a spa for the first time?
If it is your first time visiting the spa, it is likely you’ll be asked to complete a health questionnaire upon arriving at reception. A member of staff may ask you to remove your shoes and socks and to slip your feet into a pair of slippers while you do this, to encourage you to start relaxing as soon as possible. Spa uniform material should be moisture wicking made from a stain-resistant blend of polyester, nylon and spandex. The clothing should be as less distracting as possible. Both wash-ability and breathability should always be considered as essentials while choosing spa uniforms. What do you wear to a spa? The key thing to remember when deciding what to wear when you go to your spa day is that comfort is king! Most spas want you to be comfortable and relaxed, so arrive wearing loose, comfortable clothing like gym clothes, yoga pants and t-shirts.
