What do I wear to a spa day?
Most spas want you to be comfortable and relaxed, so arrive wearing loose, comfortable clothing like gym clothes, yoga pants and t-shirts. Once you are changed, you’ll be spending most of your time in a robe anyway! Many spas will give you the choice between wearing your own underwear, paper knickers, or nothing. Your therapist will tell you what’s expected. The important thing to remember, though, is that you don’t have to expose any bit of you that you’re not comfortable exposing.Whichever you prefer, your modesty will be protected at all times. Your therapist will leave the room while you undress and get settled under towels/blankets, and during your spa treatment they will only uncover the part of your body they are working on, so whatever you’ve chosen to wear, you will always be covered.Comfortable clothing and underwear There are no rules on what you should wear to your spa day, but we recommend something comfortable – you are coming to relax, so you do not need to wear formal attire or anything that may be uncomfortable or restrictive!Wear Comfortable Undergarments Choose a supportive bra that allows for easy movement and doesn’t dig into your skin. Wearing the right undergarments will ensure that you feel comfortable and confident throughout your spa experience.For massages and body treatments, ideally you disrobe completely (that means underwear, too). Most spas offer paper panties to wear during body treatments (like scrubs, wraps, or self-tanning)—they don’t cover much, but enough to provide a modicum of modesty.

Warm water also brings down swelling and loosens tight muscles. And the water’s buoyancy takes weight off painful joints. A dip in the hot tub might also help your mental state.
What do you wear to Thermea spa?
Bathing suits must be worn throughout the Spa Village. Sandals are required at all times, except in the saunas, where you must remove them. Bathrobes are worn at your discretion, except in restaurants, where you must cover your shoulders. Most spas want you to be comfortable and relaxed, so arrive wearing loose, comfortable clothing like gym clothes, yoga pants and t-shirts. Once you are changed, you’ll be spending most of your time in a robe anyway!Visitors are expected to cover up using a robe/dressing gown between treatments and when in the spa’s public areas and must wear swimwear while enjoying the venue’s Jacuzzi and steam room facilities.Spas want their guests to be as comfortable as possible, so if you would prefer to arrive in non-restrictive garments, such as gym wear or lounge wear then that will be absolutely fine. After this, you will change and spend most of your time in a robe anyway.Although most spas recommend you strip-down for your treatment to increase the comfort factor, it is not mandatory. Every spa should offer you a robe and slippers upon your arrival, so how you choose to lay under the covers is entirely up to you. Tipping is discretionary not obligatory.
What do you wear to the spa thermal suite?
Keep in mind that the spa can get warm, so don’t layer up too much! If you plan on relaxing in the thermal pool, wear a swimsuit or trunks under your robe. Our thermal pool is not a swimming pool, so you don’t need to dress for swimming laps. Any comfortable suit will do! Bathing suits must be worn throughout the Spa Village. Do you wear a bra to the spa?
It’s up to you. Women usually remove their bras to allow the massage therapist to work on the back and shoulder area without getting massage oil or lotion on the bra. During a full body massage, the breast can be massaged, but only if the client expressly agrees. In most cases, the breast is not massaged to avoid unpleasant situations. However, there are special massages that include the breast, especially for women to relieve tension and pain.It’s up to you. Women usually remove their bras to allow the massage therapist to work on the back and shoulder area without getting massage oil or lotion on the bra. If your problem area is your low back, hips, buttocks, or groin, tight-fitting or large underwear can sometimes get in the way of massage work.It’s important to keep in mind that you will be undressing during your massage so make sure to wear something easy to take off and on. Loose-fitting clothing like yoga pants are a great option as they can easily be adjusted throughout the session if needed.
