What’s the difference between a spa and a day spa?
Pampering is the primary goal of day spas, including here at Unique Day Spa. Traditional spas usually sit within a hotel or larger spa complex which offers overnight stays as part of the package and med spas are primarily used for the health of the body, such as the skin. A men’s spa provides a variety of relaxing grooming and personal care services specifically for men. These spas offer a range of treatments like massages, facials, manicures, and hair removal, all designed to help men unwind and take care of their appearance. These are private rooms in which you can enjoy a selection of pampering spa treatments, such as massages and facials. Many of our spa packages feature treatments, which will take place in one of these rooms.Spa Treatments Offer More than Pampering Deep tissue and sports massage for quick and steady muscle recovery. Custom facials for thicker, oil-prone or shaving-sensitive skin. Scalp and back treatments that target often-neglected areas. Infrared sauna sessions for detox and circulation.
What is the best time for a spa day?
Before and After a Day’s Work Or, after a long work day, the spa is very handy for releasing stress before dinner. It’s also a great spot to unwind while keeping up with the family. Take off only as much clothing as you are comfortable removing. If you don’t want to remove your clothing, wear clothing that will be comfortable during the massage and will allow the massage therapist to touch and move the areas of your body you expect will need to be massaged.Comfort is Key: Choose loose, comfortable clothing for before and after your massage. Less is More: You will be asked to undress to your comfort level for the massage. What should I wear to a massage session? Anything that is comfortable goes! Clothing that is easy to take off, such as sweats are highly recommended. But don’t worry if you happen to wear a three piece suit — we will leave you plenty of time to get undressed. Most spas want you to be comfortable and relaxed, so arrive wearing loose, comfortable clothing like gym clothes, yoga pants and t-shirts.
Are spa days worth it?
If your life is constantly busy, spa days are the ultimate form of relaxation. You can indulge in treatments and pampering sessions from soothing massages, revitalising facials, and full body treatments that leave you feeling fresh and renewed. What happens in a spa: during your treatment. If you’re having a massage, your therapist may start the treatment by bathing your feet in a bowl of warm water or cleansing your feet with a massage cloth once you’re lying on the massage bed. This is known as the “welcome touch”.The most common spa treatments are massages, manicures/pedicures and facials. However, you might also see offered such treatments as a body scrub/exfoliation, a fingers or toes file & polish (like a mini manicure or pedicure) or a scalp massage.
What not to do before a spa day?
Before your spa day, avoid using any harsh skin products that might react with spa treatments. It’s also a good idea to exfoliate a day before, so your skin is primed to absorb the full benefits of any lotions or oils used during massages and treatments. Should I shave before my spa service(s)? We recommend allowing several hours between shaving and receiving any service that involves an exfoliation (body services, scrubs, facial) to decrease the risk of skin irritation or discomfort.Choose the Right Order While the spa team can assist you with this, it’s a good idea to come in with an idea of what you want. For example, if you’re getting a massage and a facial, it’s usually a good idea to schedule the facial after the massage. This is because oils are often used during massages.
