Who owns Gleneagles?
Gleneagles was purchased from Diageo. The purchase was led by Sharan Pasricha, Founder of Ennismore, a London-based owner and developer of unique hospitality properties and experiences. The Gleneagles Arena, a new 2,500 sq m events space and tennis centre, was officially opened. Gleneagles Hotel and golf resort has been sold by drinks company Diageo, which has owned it for 31 years. The selling price is believed to have been about £150m. It has been bought by Ennismore, a private investment company, which already owns the small Hoxton chain of boutique hotels.Ennismore, which was founded in 2011, owns Gleneagles, which it bought in 2015 from Diageo. It also has 10 Hoxton hotels and other properties in its portfolio in Barcelona, Brussels, Edinburgh and London.
