For a facial, take off your bra (or at least lower the straps) before you slip into a robe, so it doesn’t interfere with the neck and shoulder massage. Many spas will give you the choice between wearing your own underwear, paper knickers, or nothing. Your therapist will tell you what’s expected. The important thing to remember, though, is that you don’t have to expose any bit of you that you’re not comfortable exposing.There are no rules on what you should wear to your spa day, but we recommend something comfortable – you are coming to relax, so you do not need to wear formal attire or anything that may be uncomfortable or restrictive! That goes for your underwear too – comfy is the name of the game here.For massages and body treatments, ideally you disrobe completely (that means underwear, too). Most spas offer paper panties to wear during body treatments (like scrubs, wraps, or self-tanning)—they don’t cover much, but enough to provide a modicum of modesty.Wear Comfortable Undergarments Choose a supportive bra that allows for easy movement and doesn’t dig into your skin. Wearing the right undergarments will ensure that you feel comfortable and confident throughout your spa experience.Wear as much or as little clothing as you’d like during the massage. When it’s time for your appointment, feel free to take off some, all, or none of your clothing. Most people dress down to their underwear for the first time, while others are completely fine being naked under the massage blanket.
What to wear under a robe at a spa for a female?
This depends upon which treatments you have booked and the facilities you will be using. In general, you should wear swimwear or underwear underneath a robe. You may well spend much of your day switching between the swimming pool, jacuzzi or steam room, so it makes sense to have your swimwear already on. The most common spa treatments are massages, manicures/pedicures and facials. However, you might also see offered such treatments as a body scrub/exfoliation, a fingers or toes file & polish (like a mini manicure or pedicure) or a scalp massage. Some treatments, such as Reiki and shiatsu, are done through your clothes. And there’s nothing like a few home comforts to help you feel truly relaxed.Most spas provide robes, slippers, and towels, but it’s good practice to bring a swimsuit if you plan to use the sauna, steam room, or pool.Towel. Some spas will provide a towel, but as some don’t you should bring your own towel just to be sure. However, if you’ve contacted the spa and they’ve said they provide a free towel upon arrival, you may want to leave yours at home to save space. We still recommend bringing a small one just incase.
