Born in Daegu, South Korea, Ko immigrated to the US and settled down in Los Angeles with her parents in 1986 at the age of 13. The NYX Hotel, a brand coming for the first time to Ireland, is owned by Leonardo Hotels (formerly Jurys Inn). The brand also debuted in London in 2021, with a rebranding of the Grange Holborn Hotel. In the UK and Ireland NYX is operated by Leonardo Hotels, which in turn is owned by a subsidiary of Israel’s Fattal Hotels Group.It displayed musical memorabilia from artists including U2, Hozier and Van Morrison and was run under franchise by Irish hotel group Tifco Ltd. But now the property has been acquired by Leonardo Hotels and will relaunch under the NYX lifestyle boutique brand.
