Small amounts of properly chlorinated pool water are generally safe for dogs, but excessive consumption can cause mild gastrointestinal issues like vomiting or diarrhea. If your dog drinks pool water and stops eating, or has vomiting and diarrhea, contact your vet or the Pet Poison Helpline for more guidance.Hot tubs are really dangerous for dogs – not only can the chlorine, bromine or other chemicals cause irritation to sensitive areas like their skin, eyes and ears, but dogs can also suffer an extreme reaction through inhaling treated hot tub water into their lungs, adds Dave.In addition, the chemicals used to keep your hot tub clean can irritate your dog’s nose, skin, eyes, and ears, thus we urge all hot tub and pet owners to keep their dogs out of their hot tubs to avoid an extreme reaction or any unwanted emergency treatments.Once diluted, most pool chemicals aren’t toxic to your dog. The one exception is pool shock, which occurs when an extremely high concentration of chlorine is in the water. This can irritate your dog’s skin and respiratory tissues, and some dogs may collapse after swimming in a recently re-chlorinated pool.

Dogs are not allowed on Edelweiss Resort property and guest areas outside of designated dog-friendly accommodations. We have four comfy vacation cabins that are also equipped to allow dogs. You must reserve them before your arrival to ensure availability. Some luxurious or ultra-dog friendly hotels might provide a dog sitting service for a fee. Other hotels won’t have a problem with you leaving your dog alone but be aware that they might ask you to leave if your dog is loud or destructive while you’re out and any damage will be charged for.We are pleased to welcome caravan owner’s dogs – just contact us in advance of arrival – but not those of holiday guests.
