Can you wear a swimsuit in hot springs?
Proper attire (WorldSprings and most other public facilities require guests to wear swimwear and prohibit nudity) Guidelines for food and drink while in the pools. In addition to a comfortable swimsuit, hot springs visitors will want to wear secure water shoes, which can provide added traction and protection against slippery surfaces or rocks with sharper edges. You will also want to bring a towel with you in order to dry off after indulging in the rejuvenating waters.For the natural hot springs, appropriate swim clothing is required. Nudity is prohibited. We recommend athletic wear, light jackets and layers. For footwear, closed-toe sneakers and trail/hiking shoes for exploring in nature — sandals for the pool and hot springs are a great choice!No street clothes, underwear, pajamas, sweats, or anything deemed inappropriate as swimwear by staff is allowed in the pools. Fabric discoloration is possible. If this concerns you, we recommend bringing an extra swimsuit or wearing last year’s suit to soak at Iron Mountain Hot Springs.Don’t touch any water in or around thermal features. Never swim, soak, or wade in thermal features. More than 20 people have died from intentionally entering or falling into hot springs.Hot springs are called that for a reason: they’re hot. Some are far too hot to use safely, and temperatures can change quickly. You should always check the water temperature with a thermometer before you get in a natural hot spring. The hotter the water is, the less time you should spend in it.

Consider removing your silver jewelry before soaking. Hot Springs: Natural hot springs contain sulfur, which can severely tarnish your silver. Unless you’re aiming for a dark, oxidised look, never wear your silver jewellery in hot springs. This is especially crucial for jewellery with gemstones, which can also be damaged.Hot tubs and hot springs often have sulfur in its water which will tarnish your jewelry. Keep in mind that some skin care products like Acne solutions do contain sulfur. Do not wear your ring when applying those products and wash your hands before putting your ring back on.Bathing suits and/or swimming attire is required. What to wear at Murrieta Hot Springs?
Be sure to come with sandals, a towel, and a robe for extra comfort. Bring sunscreen and drink plenty of water! Two towels are complimentary per guest, and additional are available to rent. It’s recommended to bring flip flops, sunscreen, a water bottle, sunglass and a hat. You may bring a towel as well (two are included in a day pass). Don’t worry about forgetting anything, the Bathhouse has all the above and more available to purchase!Sunscreen and sun protection. Come to the pool prepared with plenty of sun protection. This includes sunscreen, sun glasses, hats or visors, protective clothing like rash guards or bathing suit cover ups.Pack your swimsuit, a couple of towels, flip-flops, and a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout your visit. Don’t forget sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat! You might want to bring a cozy robe or cover-up for moving between pools.
