Do you take off a bra at the spa?
It’s up to you. Women usually remove their bras to allow the massage therapist to work on the back and shoulder area without getting massage oil or lotion on the bra. If your problem area is your low back, hips, buttocks, or groin, tight-fitting or large underwear can sometimes get in the way of massage work. And unlike other massages, which have you remove most of your clothes, with Thai massage, you can leave your clothes on. Loose-fitting clothes are preferred.The key to dressing for a massage is comfort and ease of movement. Athleisure (think: yoga pants and a sports bra), joggers, or a simple t-shirt and sweats are all great options. They allow for easy undressing and re-dressing while ensuring you remain relaxed post-massage.For individuals who plan on having a full body massage and are comfortable with removing clothing, the standard is to keep your undergarments on. It’s a good idea not to remove all of your clothing unless your therapist has requested you do so.The key thing to remember when deciding what to wear when you go to your spa day is that comfort is king! Most people undress to their comfort level, typically keeping on underwear. You’ll always be professionally draped with sheets—only the area being worked on is exposed.
Can you wear a bra in a spa?

Underwear: Most spas provide robes and towels, but you’ll still want to wear underwear underneath. Opt for comfortable, breathable options like sports bras and briefs.Comfortable clothing and underwear There are no rules on what you should wear to your spa day, but we recommend something comfortable – you are coming to relax, so you do not need to wear formal attire or anything that may be uncomfortable or restrictive!You will also receive: Complimentary robe or spa lounge wear for your visit. Complimentary towels for your visit.Towel. Some spas will provide a towel, but as some don’t you should bring your own towel just to be sure. However, if you’ve contacted the spa and they’ve said they provide a free towel upon arrival, you may want to leave yours at home to save space. We still recommend bringing a small one just incase.
What to wear inside a spa?
Most spas want you to be comfortable and relaxed, so arrive wearing loose, comfortable clothing like gym clothes, yoga pants and t-shirts. Once you are changed, you’ll be spending most of your time in a robe anyway! Swimwear & Clothing Towel and robe are included in the cost of a Thermae Welcome, treatment, and Spa Package. Swimwear should be worn in all public areas. We do not provide footwear and advise that you bring your own for use around the Spa.
